About us
Started off as a team of 2 and now connections with 5,000+ members, Indian Wildlife Preservers has been working assiduously in order to conserve and protect India’s wildlife. Our conservation actions are directed towards the massive threats posed by habitat destruction, poaching and human-wildlife conflict as well as overexploitation of some species, which impacts our biodiversity and its habitats.
IWP envisages a world where wildlife flourishes in healthy lands and seas, valued by societies that embrace and benefit from the diversity of life on earth. Together, we can address the greatest threats to life on this planet and protect the natural resources that sustain and inspire us.

    Project Asian Elephant
India is the home to largest populations of wild Asian elephants which are mainly concentrated in the Western ghats. An IUCN report states that there has been approximately 50% decline in its population in the last 75 years. To preserve this species, (org. name) has financially helped the government in acquiring elephant habitat and corridors. Besides this, we have also worked to attenuate the human-elephant conflicts through community involvement.
